It is a common question, why should I go on a missions trip?  Wouldn’t the funds I will spend on travel to a location be better served by giving them directly to a project or ministry?  There may be times that this is the case, but there is much more to the story.  The lives of team members are often greatly impacted, and the change they effect back at home is invaluable.

Recently Nate Sims was on a Builders team to Belize, working on the Maya Ministry Center.  Check out his video response to the trip.

  1. When we answer the cry of our Father’s heart, we see the need to love in both practical and extraordinary ways. This is why I think the Short Term Mission Trip (STMT) is so powerful. It offers opportunities for both.

  3. The first time the Lord spoke to me and told me to go I went, but after my experience of leaving “my comfort zone” I had decided I would not do it again. But the Lord had other plans. He reached into my heart and made me realize it is not about me nor my comforts. So I now go to serve Him and His people because He loves ALL of us. So I go to share that love. I go to be a blessing, however I am blessed more in return by those that I go to bless.
