Many thanks to Kevin Rose for recently speaking in our staff chapel at Builders International. Kevin serves as the Senior Director of Children’s Feeding Initiatives for Convoy of Hope.
Kevin spoke from the perspective of James 1:2-4 (MSG), the challenges we face are “a sheer gift”. In the face of this sheer gift, Kevin shared 5 lessons he is learning:
- There is no room for insecurity in something God has called you to.
- The people that we serve are looking for opportunity, not just a handout.
- Serving the poor must be founded in respect.
- Advocacy is not just something that happens in Washington.
- I am guilty of letting my ministry define who I am in Christ.
