One of the most valuable elements for success in our cause of building facilities that advance the Kingdom are quality national partners in the countries we serve.  After the team leaves and the building is complete, this building is only as effective as the local champion who leads the work and ministry that takes place in that facility.

It was an honor to meet Pastor Yojan Marder during the Assemblies of God Centennial Celebration in Springfield, MO. Pastor Yojan volunteers as project manger on the Honduras 100 project with Builders International missionary Brad Foltz.

Pastor Yojan’s church is in the town of Marening, and was #11 of the 88 complete so far.  Pastor Yojan has now been involved in helping build 49 other churches around Honduras.  After hurricane Mitch in 1999, the government relocated people from destroyed areas to this town who could not afford to rebuild.  As a result, there is much need among the people.

Under Pastor Yojan’s leadership, his church has grown to 250 people and is now reaching out to help their community with these programs and more:

  • After school program – feeding 250 kids,  four days per week
  • Single mother outreach – from prenatal care through two-years old
  • Elderly care – distribute one week’s worth of food once a month

Thank you for supporting our family in our role with Builders International!

Here is a brief greet from Pastor Yojan:
